Chelsea have signed Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr, Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz ahead of next season, as Frank Lampard is building a very strong team.
Lampard is trying to cover the flaws he saw in the team last season, as he made a quality signing in every position.
Lampard who was a midfielder during his playing days, may have hinted that Kai Havertz is his best signing of the lot.
“Kai is a really exciting signing for myself and for the club first and foremost,” the Chelsea manager told the official Chelsea website.
“He is a player I have been aware of for a long time and as a fellow attacking midfield player, I have paid particular attention to those type of players for some time.
“I was aware of his talent and in conjunction with the club, we know how we want to go forward and look to improve in the right areas, and for players who are going to be here hopefully to improve and mature, but are already at a very high level, he absolutely fitted the bill for us, so I am delighted to have him.”
