According to reports, Chelsea are considering hijacking the Gunners’ top priority for this transfer window. The Blues are ready to spend the cash before it’s too late to worry about.

The deadline is just in sight four days away. All clubs are busy calculating the squad depth and fixing it. Big signings might occur at the very end before the deadline while some clubs might miss out on star player signings as well.

Chelsea has been really busy this summer in the transfer market. They have secured some top signings and covered all bases for the new season. However, they are now keen to add one last player to their current squad. Yes, Lampard wants to bring in defensive midfielder Declan Rice from West Ham United. As a result, the club is working on raising funds by selling some of their deadwood.

A recent player to leave Chelsea is Ross Barkley. The former Everton man has left the club on loan for game time. The Londoners are also equipped with a number of full-backs and one of them might leave this summer. Marcos Alonso is the latest name that’s doing the rounds. Emerson has done well in recent games to impress Lampard for a stay at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian full-back is considered to be the back-up option for new arrival Ben Chilwell. Marcos Alonso did make three appearances for Lampard this season at Premier League, but still not convinced with his display. The Spaniard might leave for Italy to reunite with his former boss Antonio Conte. The Italian boss might utilize his services to the best after the departure of Dalbert to Rennes.

Now, Chelsea has shifted their focus to Arsenal’s long-term target for the defensive midfield role. According to the Telegraph, Chelsea could possibly try to sign Arsenal’s target and Atletico Madrid’s star midfielder Thomas Partey in the next 48-72 hours. Atletico Madrid wants £45million for their defensive midfielder, which is too pricey for Arsenal.
