Chelsea’s transfer window is over, but as always, the club are looking to strengthen the academy at all times.
The latest addition to the youth setup is 16 year old Sami Tlemcani, who joined from Paris FC in Ligue 2. He’s already featured for the France U16s, and looks like a real prospect in the position, already standing well above 6 feet at his tender age.
The French club confirmed the move on their Twitter account this afternoon:
They wished him luck in his new project in London, and thanked him for his time with them.
We don’t know much about this kid, he’s only 16 after all, but we have full faith in the club’s scouting department, which time and again has dug up the brightest gems from Europe’s academies and moulded them into brilliant talents.
Edouard Mendy may be our goalkeeping solution for now, but long term, we’re still always looking for the next best thing.
