Stats shows why Kepa is better than Mendy in one area despite Mendy’s improvement
Edouard Mendy is Chelsea’s new number one goalkeeper following his arrival this summer from French club Rennes.
Mendy has enjoyed a fine start to life at Chelsea – with the stats showing just how much of an improvement he is on Kepa Arrizabalaga.
According to stats from The Sun, Mendy boasts a save percentage of 88.9 per cent, while Kepa kept out just 63.4 per cent of the shots he faced.
Mendy has conceded just once in four games for the Blues, the FA Cup defeat to Tottenham, while Kepa has conceded 115 goals in just 98 games for the Blues.
However, Kepa has a better passing accuracy than Mendy. Kepa boasts a passing accuracy of 81.8% compared to Mendy’s passing accuracy of 74.3%.
