According to reports, Chelsea women were to play London City Lionesses in the Continental League Cup on Wednesday night, but the game has been postponed.
The game was postponed after London City Lionesses recorded three positive COVID-19 tests before the match.
Chelsea FC released a statement regarding this game via the official club website, thus: “An important update about tonight’s Chelsea Women’s fixture…
“Our Continental Tyres League Cup fixture against London City Lionesses has been postponed. This follows two first-team players and one member of staff at London City Lionesses testing positive for COVID-19.”
The club statement added: “Further details regarding this fixture will follow in due course.”
