Super Computer gives ‘STRANGE’ prediction for Chelsea vs Atletico Madrid clash
Chelsea were given a tough draw in the second round of the UEFA Champions League.
The Blues topped their group to reach the Champions League round of 16, but the draws pitted Chelsea against Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea fans have been pondering over the draw, with many admitting that the Blues must be at their best to scale through.
Meanwhile, the stats guys at FiveThirtyEight have come up with their computer predictions yet again.
According to their super computer, Chelsea have a 25% chance of winning the first leg against Atletico Madrid.
It calculated a 28% probability that the game will end in a draw and a stunning 47% probability that Chelsea might lose at the Wanda Metropolitan in February.
Chelsea will play the first leg away from home to the La Liga side, before hosting Diego Simeone’s side at Stamford Bridge.
However, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard doesn’t seem worried about the draw, and has demanded that his side should be confident heading into the game.
Lampard said: “I watched them knock Liverpool out last year and they are obviously a great team, and they have that experience and they have quality in their squad, so I think most people would say they are certainly one of the toughest teams we could have drawn on paper but we’ll have to turn up and do our job and be confident we can beat them.”
