Lampard makes decisive decision on Chelsea midfielder’s future
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has reportedly made a decisive decision on the future of young midfielder Billy Gilmour who has not been having enough game time ever since the season started.
Billy Gilmour showed his potential last season but his good form was halted before the end of the Premier League season as he suffered an injury which ruled him out until recently.
With Chelsea strengthening up in the middle by bringing in Kai Havertz, Gilmour has been forced to sit on the bench for majority of the ongoing season.
Billy Gilmour has now been linked with some Premier League clubs but Frank Lampard wants the Scotsman under his guidance.
According to The Athletic, Lampard will not sanction a loan for the young midfielder as he believes he has everything to break into his plan as the season goes on.
Chelsea form have not been too impressive for the past few weeks and some fans have called for changes in the midfield as well as the striking department and it’s left to see if Gilmour will be given a chance.
