Former Chelsea star reveals the only player that would have saved Frank Lampard from being sacked
Frank Lampard might have been sacked as Chelsea’s manager for the past one week but he has continue to dominate the headlines as former players of the club continue to share their opinions.
Roman Abramovic took the decisive decision of sacking Frank Lampard who was a legend at the club during his playing days when the team stumbled to ninth on the Premier League table.
Despite spending fortunes to bring in Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Eduardo Mendy and Ben Chilwell, Chelsea were unable to compete against their rivals.
Former Chelsea player Alan Hudson has now insisted that if Chelsea had signed Aston Villa captain, Jack Grealish, Lampard would have not lost his job as the head coach.
Alan Hudson made this known while speaking to Caught Offside about the situation.
The 69 years old stated that he knew Frank Lampard and used to know him well until he became a manager.
He noted that if he had been Frank Lampard’s adviser, he would have told him to buy Jack Grealish.
Glen stated that he mentioned this because Jack has just learned the ins out outs of top level football, and he’s 25-year-of-age that’s how long it takes today, not eighteen months.
Hudson who was sure of Grealish’s ability noted that if Frank had signed the England international, he’d still be the Chelsea manager.
He added that it’s the difference as Jack makes things happen, he knows the game, not like these kids, who are players-in-waiting.
