£100m duo to sign for Chelsea for Free, Tuchel tells board to bring PSG star to Chelsea, as Italian confirms Chelsea will try to sign defender… in Chelsea247 roundup
Chelsea could get the likes of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Jerome Boateng for nothing at the end of the season.
It is no secret that Thomas Tuchel will look to put his own stamp on the team in the summer transfer window, sign a few players that may improve that defence, and maybe add a few players that will improve that attack.
And it is widely expected that alot of money will again will be spent by the Blues, but if they want to sign themselves alot of money, there are two players that they could possibly sign for free over the next few months.
Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan)
AC Milan are flying high in Serie A this season but there are question marks over undisputed Italy number one Donnarumma, who has played more than 200 games since his debut at the age of 16.
Now 21, he is one of the most highly rated goalkeepers in the world and would normally command a fee over £70m, but contract talks with the clubs are currently “frozen” and there is a real possibility that the Blues could swoop in.
Edouard Mendy has been decent since his move to Chelsea, but he is not the top-class stopper that Tuchel would like between those sticks, and the fact that Chelsea would have to pay nothing for the deal to happen apart from around £200,000-a-week, is this an opportunity they cannot miss out on?
Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich): Germany World Cup winner Boateng has been a regular in the Bayern team this season, with the side topping the Bundesliga table once again, and he is actually hoping that Bayern are willing to give him a contract extension to stay at the club.
However, the club are yet to begin talks with the player and there has already been some reports in the media over the past few days which have suggested that Chelsea have already contacted the German about a move to the Bridge.
Yes he is the wrong side of thirty and yes he is not the same player he once was, but it has been proven that defenders can last longer in the game then midfielders or attackers, so for at least three years, he could be a solid addition.
Barcelona legend Rivaldo believes Real Madrid captain and Chelsea target Sergio Ramos may already be planning for life away from the Bernabeu.
Ramos has been at Madrid for well over a decade and won countless trophies on his way to becoming one of the very best defenders in the game, but his contract troubles at Madrid have now meant that he is back in the headlines.
It is believed that he cannot agree a new contract with Real and that has led to reports that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel may be interested in trying to get a transfer deal done as they seek to bolster their squad just that bit more.
And amid the speculation that Madrid have accepted that Ramos will leave the club, Rivaldo believes the Spaniard may already be targeting his next club: ‘Sergio Ramos will be out of action for at least two months due to knee surgery and that will give him extra time to reflect about his decision of renewing his contract with Real Madrid or leaving at the end of season,’ Rivaldo told Betfair.
‘He is in one of the biggest clubs in the world and has a lot of affection from the fans, but he must ponder all the factors.
‘Despite being happy at Madrid, perhaps he is preparing a new adventure somewhere else looking for a new challenge. Anyway, these days away from the pitch will help him with his final decision.’
Kays Ruiz-Atil is set to leave PSG at the end of the season when his contract expires, with reports Thomas Tuchel has told Chelsea to make their move.
Ruiz-Atil has seven senior appearances to his name this season, all coming when Tuchel was in charge, as the German firmly believed that the talent has the quality to have a big future in the game.
However, Since Mauricio Pochettino replaced the German as manager, Ruiz-Atil has fallen out of favour, and The 18-year-old has been demoted to the club’s under-19 squad, where It seems likely he will be leaving PSG at the end of the season.
His contract is due to expire in June, and according to according to Foot Mercato. he will not look to leave the French giants at the end of the season when his contract expires.
PSG have been unable to come to terms with the highly rated 18-year-old, and the reports suggest that Tuchel has told the Chelsea board to keep a close eye on the situation over at PSG, and has even told the club to ramp up their interest in Ruiz-Atil
Ruiz-Atil has a strong relationship with Pochettino’s predecessor, Thomas Tuchel who is now in charge at Chelsea and would be keen on bringing the midfielder to Stamford Bridge.
We have not seen much of Rui-Atil, simply because we do not watch the reserve games, but Tuchel knows the lad, and if the reports are true, he could get that massive move.
Italian Jounalist Fabrizio Romano has again confirmed that Chelsea are still interested in trying to secure a deal for Dayot Upamecano.
Upamecano is a player that is in the transfer headlines on a daily basis after establishing himself as one of the most dominate defenders in the Bundesliga, and maybe in the Champions League.
His performances have not gone un-noticed by all the Premier League’s biggest clubs, and Chelsea are one of the clubs that are reportedly ready to pay that £38 million release clause to get a deal done in the summer, according to Romano.
He Tweeted: “Manchester United have never been in advanced talks to sign Upamecano – always been appreciated but ‘unlikely’. He’s the main target for Bayern Münich prepared to pay the release clause, Chelsea and Liverpool are still in the race. Also PSG interest now cooled down 🔴 #mufc
Thomas Tuchel knows that he needs to splash a bit of cash in the summer window and buy a more long-term solution to the squad for Thiago Silva, who is right at the back-end of his playi9ng career at the very highest level of the game and cannot play on forever.
And reports have claimed that he has been a big fan of the French defender for a good few seasons now, but has not made a move as his PSG side was pretty solid defensively.
