Tough games ahead! Chelsea’s next 7 games after Newcastle win

Thomas Tuchel has seen Chelsea pick up massive form, as the Blues are unbeaten under his watch.

Chelsea have won five straight games now in a row, and the most recent game saw Tuchel’s side defeat Newcastle 2-0 and move up to fourth in the league.

However, it’s still far from being over, as the Blues have 7 consecutive difficult ties ahead.

Up next is a Saturday lunchtime kick-off against Southampton away at the St Mary’s Stadium. Next Tuesday, the Blues will then face Atletico Madrid away from home in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie. The match slated for February 23, was due to be played at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium but following restrictions in Spain, it will now be played in Romanian capital Bucharest, at the Arena Nationala stadium.

The next game for Chelsea is a home game against rivals Manchester United on February 28. Chelsea will then start the month of March with a home game against Everton on March 6.

Following a week’s break, Chelsea will be away to Leeds United on March 13. The Blues will then host Atletico Madrid for the second leg of the competition on March 17. Chelsea will then face Sheffield United on March 21 in the quarterfinal of the FA Cup.

Indeed, there are massive games ahead for Chelsea, which is why Tuchel has given the players two days off, before the team resumes training ahead of facing Southampton this weekend.
