Chelsea ready to sign young rising Atletico Madrid star valued at €80M
According to Spanish media outlet Todo Fichajes, Chelsea are keen on signing Atletico Madrid player Marcos Llorente in the summer transfer window. Marcos Llorente is one of the main stars in the Atletico Madrid team.
Ever since the introduction of Llorente at Anfield wherein he stole the show against Liverpool, Marcos Llorente has become a consistent performer for Diego Simeone’s team.
Marcos Llorente himself has had an extremely interesting career projectory. The youngster came to Atletico Madrid from close rivals Real Madrid and has succeeded. This is an extremely rare occurrence.
But Llorente is a very successful player at the moment. Only Luis Suarez and Joao Felix have managed to score more than Llorente for the La Liga table-toppers this season.
However, it remains to be seek if Thomas Tuchel will actually push for this deal in his first transfer window in charge of the club. Llorente could he used as a right wing back in his system.
Atletico Madrid are keeping an extremely hefty price tag for Marcos Llorente. They’re not willing to accept a penny less than €80 million which amounts to £69 million.
Llorente can be a good addition to Thomas Tuchel’s side as his versatility can be useful for the team. Tuchel likes to play in a 3-4-2-1 formation which utilizes two fullbacks.
Currently, Callum Hudson Odoi is the preferred choice at the right wing-back role but Llorente can also slot in there. Furthermore, Llorente can also play as a forward given his goal-scoring potential.
Thomas Tuchel is yet to make any big signing up until now at Chelsea but will certainly be focused to make some valuable additions to the squad.
