West Ham and Chelsea to setup a massive swap deal, Porto midfielder could make Chelsea switch, as Mason Mount set new Champions league record

West Ham and Chelsea to setup a massive swap deal,

Another game played by Chelsea, another game where Tammy Abraham doesn’t set foot on the pitch.

We’ve waited and waited for the striker to get his chance under Thomas Tuchel, but it seems the Blues boss just doesn’t fancy our top scorer, and inevitably the rumours about him leaving are building in intensity.

Twitter insider “ExWHUEmployee” who always has decent scoops on West Ham says they’re now making him a priority signing for this summer.

The Hammers links have always made sense – they’re based in London, they’ve got the money to pay him, they’re upwards mobile, and they need a striker. The Declan Rice swap angle that some have mentioned only makes the idea more tempting.

If it does happen, it will take some time to sort out. Let’s not write Tammy off just yet! He could well step into Tuchel’s team and bag ten goals before the season is out, all he needs is a chance.

Mason Mount set new Champions league record

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount scored the opener as the Blues beat Portuguese side FC Porto 2-0 on Wednesday night.

According to Opta, Mount is now Chelsea’s youngest ever goalscorer in a UEFA Champions League knockout match (22y 87d) following his goal against Porto.

Mount’s goal against Porto is also his first goal in the Champions League.

Chelsea eyeing move for highly-rated Porto midfielder

Chelsea are allegedly keen to sign Porto star Jesus Corona in the early stages of this summer’s transfer market.

The 28-year-old Mexican has been in impressive form for his Portuguese side during the 2020-21 campaign, netting three times and contributing 11 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.

Corona’s existing contract with Porto is due to expire next year, and there is believed to be a £21m buy-out clause in the agreement.

The release fee is only thought to be active until June, though, and according to a recent report from O Jogo, Chelsea are keen to bring the player to Stamford Bridge.

The report adds that the release clause rises to £34 million beyond June, meaning that Thomas Tuchel’s team face a race against the clock when the market opens to acquire his services.

Jesus – a 45-time Mexico international – has largely operated as a right-sided midfielder this campaign but is also capable of playing as a right-back.
