Tuchel confirms Chelsea team news to face Leicester City, as Blues desperate to agree deal for South American No.10 attacker

At Chelsea press conference today, Blues manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed the Chelsea team news to face Leicester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday at Wembley.

After losing last time out in the final last year, then under Frank Lampard’s tutelage, Chelsea will be hoping to go one step better this time round to see of the Foxes to secure FA Cup triumph.

It’s the first of four cup finals left for Chelsea this season as the race for top four is well and truly alive, as well as Chelsea reaching the Champions League final.

Tuchel confirmed the team news and availability of his squad on Friday in his pre-match press conference, after previously revealing in the week that Kepa would start in goal for the Blues at Wembley.

“The whole group is available as Kova is with us again,” revealed Tuchel.

He added on Kante: “We took the decision together to leave him out against Arsenal and give him treatment. It was pain management, not a huge injury. It was nothing to be afraid of getting bigger. He trained yesterday and today full, no complaints. He will start tomorrow and hopefully finish the game for us.”

Kepa Arrizabalaga will also start for the Blues at Wembley, Tuchel re-confirmed.

“He brought us to the final so he deserves to play in the final.”

Blues desperate to agree deal for South American No.10 attacker

Chelsea are reportedly willing to include Italian pair Jorignho and Emerson Palmieri in any proposed deal for Serie A champions, Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala.

The Argentine forward has under 18 months left to run on his contract with the Old Lady and is being rumoured with a summer sale, although Andrea Pirlo has affirmed that Dybala will stay in Turin for the 2021-22 season despite interest from the hosts of European teams.

Pirlo’s comments do not appear to have deterred interested teams, though, and his future beyond 2022 stays unclear, so the Serie A defending champions could very well look to cash in on the player this summer rather than risking to lose him for free.

West London giants are one of several sides rumoured with a bid, and according to Tuttosport, Thomas Tuchel is willing to sacrifice Jorginho and Emerson to secure services of Dybala for the 2021-22 campaign.

Jorginho continues to be rotated in and out of the team since Tuchel arrived at Stamford Bridge, whereas Emerson stays the Blues’ third-choice left-back behind Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso, and he has played just 88 minutes of Premier League football this campaign.

Real Madrid, Arsenal and Man Utd have all been credited with an interest in Argentine international forward, who has managed just three goals from 14 Serie A games in an injury-hit season.
