4 goalkeepers have more cleansheets than Mendy, as Chelsea midfielder confirms he’s leaving the club this summer
Only four goalkeepers in Europe’s top five leagues have more cleansheets than Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois (17), Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid (18), Manchester City’s Ederson (18) and Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan (21).
Lille goalkeeper Maignan has kept the most clean sheets among any top-5 leagues’ keepers and is currently leading the Golden Glove race in the European top leagues.
Ederson is the only goalkeeper in the Premier League with more cleansheets than Mendy.
Chelsea midfielder confirms he’s leaving the club this summer
Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel has confirmed he’s leaving the club this summer when his contract expires.
The Dutch midfielder originally joined Chelsea eight years ago, but his Stamford Bridge career has been decimated by serious injury.
Van Ginkel is currently on loan with Dutch giants PSV and is keen to make his stay at PSV permanent when he leaves Chelsea this summer.
“I am a free agent,” Van Ginkel told the media after captaining PSV and scoring against Utrecht over the weekend.
“I like life in Eindhoven and I think it is nice to feel appreciated. But we have not started negotiations yet.”
