Chelsea receives Harry Kane transfer message, as Blues keen on bringing £180m attacker to Stamford Bridge

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is known to be a shrewd dealer in the transfer market, and he usually gets tough deals when negotiating with clubs for his players.

Gareth Bale was once a world record transfer deal, with £80m at the time, while Chelsea fans will never forget how Luka Modric was denied a move to the club by Levy.

With Harry Kane keen on leaving Spurs in search of trophies, Daniel Levy has vowed to do what’s best for the Spurs and not the player, Harry Kane, as her also admitted that the club wants to win trophies as well.

“I am never going to talk about any specific player in public,” Levy told the Tottenham’s official website when quizzed on Kane.

“All I will say is his frustrations in not winning are shared by me and all the fans and players. We all want to win.

“One of the items that Fabio will have to deal with when he comes in is which players are going to be retained, which will be asked to look for other clubs.

“There is a market out there. What we want and what other clubs want is not always possible to achieve. We will do whatever is right for the club.”

Chelsea have opened talks with Borussia Dortmund regarding a move for Erling Haaland.

The German side are determined to hold onto the prolific striker for one more campaign and while there is an acceptance any deal will be very difficult to seal, The Daily Mail report the Blues are in talks to make it happen.

Barcelona, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Manchester City are also interested in signing the 20-year-old who is understood to be poised to take the next step in his career.

Any transfer this summer could cost as much as £180 million – with Thomas Tuchel’s side now exploring options to drive down that price.

The club are prepared to offer players as part of talks with Dortmund, including outcast Tammy Abraham whose name has been raised in initial discussions, report says.

It is not yet known whether BVB are interested in signing the Englishman although Die Borussen have already started their search for a long-term replacement for Erling.

The Blues have also considered a move for their former attacker Romelu Lukaku, but the Belgium international said last week he has no intention of quitting Inter Milan following their Serie A success.

A move for England skipper Harry Kane has also been deemed ‘too difficult’ considering the fierce rivalry between Tottenham and Chelsea.
