Romano confirms Serie A club want three Chelsea players, as player agreed a four-year deal with Chelsea

It is pretty clear that Chelsea will need to get a few players off their books and off of their wage structure this summer if they are to bring the 2 or 3 big new signings that they have been looking at.

Whilst I do not think Chelsea need to necessarily confirm player sales BEFORE they can make any signings as such, but it will certainly help to get the ball rolling for a few of these deals, and it appears that AC Milan are more than willing to help us with this.

According to the reliable transfer news reporter Fabrizio Romano, who was speaking on his Here We Go Podcast this week, AC Milan are trying to sign a trio of Chelsea players this summer.

The most obvious being Olivier Giroud, as we have been hearing about for some time now.

But they are also asking Chelsea for Hakim Ziyech and Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer.

Romano said:

“Yes [Giroud can leave], AC Milan and Chelsea have a good relationship. They did the Tomori deal together, and Olivier Giroud could leave the club this summer. There are chances.

“AC Milan have an agreement with the player on personal terms. Two year contract for €3.5m (£3m) net per season. But AC Milan want Giroud for free without paying a fee to Chelsea.”

Milan are also reportedly interested in signing Hakim Ziyech and French defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer.

“AC Milan are also asking for Ziyech and are also asking for Bakayoko coming back to AC Milan, but at the moment these are just talks, nothing is advanced.”

Colwill deal areed!
Promising youngster Levi Colwill has agreed a four-year deal at Chelsea with the expectation that he will be loaned out next season in order to gain first-team experience.

Colwill, who joined the Blues as an Under-9, established himself as a standout performer for the development squad last season. He played 18 times in Premier League 2 and also featured twice for the Under-18s in the FA Youth Cup.

The 18-year-old’s performances caught the eye of Thomas Tuchel and Colwill trained with the first-team squad in February and during the final weeks of the campaign as cover for the injured Andreas Christensen.
