REPORT: Russian club and Chelsea reach agreement over transfer of attacking midfielder
According to latest reports, Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow for the transfer of Tino Anjorin.
The Chelsea wonderkid will join the Russian side in a loan deal that includes a £17 million ($23m) option to buy.
The move was inspired by the Russian club’s newly appointed director Ralf Rangnick, who acted as Thomas Tuchel’s mentor in his early managerial career.
Rangnick intends to activate the option next summer, as long as the 19-year-old performs well, but it will also include a buyback option for Chelsea at £34m ($46m).
Chelsea boss Tuchel rates Anjorin highly and permanently promoted the teenager to the first-team since January but the Blues are happy to see him leave as they deem the offer from Lokomotiv Moscow a good opportunity to turn down.
