Thank you! as player hailed after giving club £70m to sign Lukaku last summer
Despite not having a good time at Stamford Bridge in his coaching career with Chelsea, Frank Lampard has been praised for bringing the academy boys to the first team. Till now, we are still reaping from the strategy of the club legend.
However, with this, Mason Mount has gone on to be a fantastic player for the club, and has earned his own reputation without being called Lampard’s son.
Was voted as Chelsea’s Player of the Season last term, and it’s not hard to see why.
Meanwhile, Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has hailed the quality coming through the Chelsea academy and particularly sang the praise of Mason Mount whom he rates as a £70m signing.
According to Merson, Mount has saved Chelsea the stress of spending £70m in that position, and the money has been used to sign Romelu Lukaku.
“Chelsea have had a good crop come through. Mason Mount, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Paul Merson wrote in his column for the Daily Star.
“When you have players like that coming through it helps. Mason Mount has saved Chelsea £70m. That’s how they can go out and spend their money on a Romelu Lukaku.”
