REPORT: Real Madrid reach verbal agreement with Chelsea over transfer of player
Latest reports in Spain claims that Spanish giant Real Madrid have moved closer to signing a key player in Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea team.
However, according to Spanish media outlet Todo Fichajes via CaughtOffside, Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement to sign Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger next summer.
Unfortunately for Chelsea, Rudiger is out of contract next summer and the 28 year old Germany international is yet to reach an agreement with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia over a new contract.
Rudiger will be free to negotiate pre-contract agreements with any interested clubs in January and reports in Spain are claiming the defender will sign a pre-contract with Real Madrid in January after reaching a verbal agreement with the Spanish side.
We would suggest taking the report from Spain with a pinch of salt as Rudiger recently revealed he’s happy at Chelsea.
