‘Don’t blame her! as Marina Granovskaia finally reveals why she can’t meet Rudiger’s contract demands
Presently, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is in fine form under Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel as the German man has won the Champions league and Super Cup both under Tuchel.
However, The Chelsea centre-back is yet to extend his Chelsea contract which expires at the end of the season after failing to reach an agreement with the Blues.
Rudiger has become a key player for the Blues since Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss in January.
However, according to The Telegraph via TribalFootball, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is concerned about meeting Rudiger’s demands because it could upset the dressing room.
Granovskaia is reportedly willing to increase Chelsea’s offer of £140,000-a-week but is aware that being held to ransom could lead to a dressing-room revolt at Stamford Bridge.
Granovskaia is reportedly concerned that surrendering to Rudiger’s demands would see set a poor precedent for future renewals with the rest of the squad.
