Tuchel ready to add impressive Brazilian to squad with shock Chelsea transfer January deal
According to latest reports, Chelsea are now very much interested in acquiring the services of Raphinha from Leeds
The transfer window has re-opened its doors once more giving clubs another opportunity to strengthen their respective squads, and with the fact that Chelsea need to reignite their season, Thomas Tuchel needs to fresh un the squad.
Manchester City are winning on a weekly basis, while Chelsea are not, and although they are still in that Premier League title race, their results have been too inconsistent over the past few months to give pundits cause to say they will be Champions by the end of the season.
However, according to DAILY EXPRESS Raphinha is a player that Chelsea may look to sign over the next for weeks of business.
Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner have managed just nine goals between them in all competitions this season, and although they have impressed at times this year, Tuchel is not fully convinced that they have the quality to win titles
Raphinha, 25, managed six goals in his first season in the Premier League, and the Brazilian winger has already surpassed that tally in the current campaign after netting eight times.
He has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool over the past few months, as they need to cover AFCON, but with funds tight over at Anfield, they may not be looking to splash the £30,40 or even £50 million it could take to land the Brazilian.
