‘They are out! as Tuchel confirms four Chelsea players are out of Manchester City clash

Ahead of Manchester city clash, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has spoken to the media ahead of this heavyweight must-win title clash for Chelsea, and the Blues boss seem happy with the current state of the squad.

However, there’s no fresh injury, apart from the news that Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen will miss the game having tested positive to coronavirus.

The only other three players who will miss this game are Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah and Ben Chilwell who have all been out through injuries.

“There is no injury news, which is maybe good news,” Tuchel told the media.

“Trevoh Chalobah is out, Ben Chilwell is out, Reece James is out and we have one positive Covid test with Andreas Christensen so he is also out for the game.”

The game against City has been billed as a must win for Chelsea, and it’s one Thomas Tuchel isn’t taking for granted after losing the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge.

Asked what he had learned from the defeat, Tuchel said at his press conference on Friday: “That my approach was the wrong approach, tactically.

“It made us too passive. We could’ve done better but I think the approach was too passive and too defensive.

“It was not meant like this but it turned out this way, so lesson learned.”
