Roman Abramovich makes Thomas Tuchel decision future at Chelsea after 13 points behind Manchester City
Chelsea were top of the league in early December before the dip in form saw Tuchel’s side slide down the table to third, 13 points behind Manchester City.
However, The Blues have won just once in our last seven Premier League games and are now 13 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich has reportedly made a decision on Tuchel’s future as Chelsea boss following Chelsea’s recent poor form.
According to Daily Mail, Tuchel’s job at Chelsea is under no threat despite a dip in form recently which has been affected by Covid and injury disruption.
The Chelsea board reportedly like Tuchel’s public persona and his handling of dressing-room egos, especially how he dealt with Romelu Lukaku’s interview with rocked the club.
Abramovich isn’t known to be patient with managers when form drops but the billionaire owner of Chelsea is prepared to stick with Tuchel after the German tactician won the Champions League and Super Cup in his first year as Chelsea boss.
No member of the Chelsea board is reportedly pushing for a change in manager as they all back Tuchel to get Chelsea rolling again.
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard was sacked as Chelsea boss last January after the Blues struggled in December and January but that won’t be the fate of Tuchel despite Chelsea’s poor form in December and January under the German.
