Tuchel finally has reasons to be happy after 3 major signings ‘promised’ him in the summer
The Blues have had a quiet January winter transfer window but Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has reasons to be happy with claims that the club has promised to back him with three major signings in the summer transfer window.
However, It is understood that Chelsea plan to back Thomas Tuchel with Declan Rice, Aurelien Tchouameni and Jules Kounde.
The Blues wanted a left back but were unable to secure their targets.
However, Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele was a target for the Blues but he ended up staying as he was not interested in the move.
Speaking on Tuesday, Barcelona president Joan Laporta indicated that Dembele would not play for the club again after failing to leave before the transfer deadline.
‘It’s not good for him or for the club, the renewal gave us salary margin, but the positioning is not understood,’ Laporta said.
‘We think he has an agreement with another club and we will act in our own interest.’
The Champions League winners had the target of winning the Premier League this season but that seems impossible at the moment as they are behind Man City on the log.
