BREAKING: Tuchel set to miss crucial Chelsea games after been tested positive for Covid

According to reports, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel missed the 2-1 FA Cup victory over Plymouth on Saturday at Stamford Bridge after testing positive for Covid-19.

However, The Blues are to fly to Abu Dhabi immediately after the FA Cup clash with Plymouth but will have travel without our German tactician.

Tuchel will have to stay back to quarantine, which means his trip to Abu Dhabi is now a huge doubt.

Government guidelines suggest that anyone who is vaccinated against the virus must quarantine for ten days.

However, that period can be reduced to just five days so long as two negative lateral flow tests are returned on both day five and day six.

Chelsea enter the World Club Cup competition at the semi-final stage on Wednesday, and will face the winner of the match between Al Hilal and Al Jazira.

Tuchel will need to produce a negative test before he can travel, meaning the timeframe is extremely tight.
