‘look at how Chelsea played – Palmeiras boss reacted after his team lost the Club World Cup to Chelsea
After losing 2-1 to Chelsea in the Club World Cup, Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira has finally broken his silence.
However, Palmeiras took the game to extra time before losing 2-1 after Kai Havertz scored a penalty in extra time.
Abel insists he’s proud of his players after their Club World Cup final defeat to Chelsea because the Blues are a great team.
“We knew it would be a difficult game. You don’t like the three centre-backs, but look at how Chelsea play. Abel said.
“I don’t want to talk about the result, we lost, and I want to congratulate those who won. Last year, we went where we went, and this year we came in second.
“We lost to a great team, in a game of details, so I’m very proud of my players.
“We were able to match their individual quality, attack the opponent, equaling with the collective game. But the game was decided on one detail.
“So, congratulations to my players. I am a proud man to be their coach. Let’s thank our fans for everything they’ve done. It is to congratulate the opponent and move on.”
