‘He’s out’– Tuchel gives injury update on 4 key Chelsea players
Chelsea set to be back to Champions League action as the Blues set to host Lille in the round of 16 of the UCL on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.
However, The Blues are obviously defending their crown as the Champions of Europe this season after winning the competition last year, but they have a long way to go yet before the impossible dream is even talked about as becoming reality.
First of all they need to get past Lille, who will be a very tough side to beat over two legs.
Chelsea on paper should be able to get the job done, and there was a boost for tomorrow’s match at least when Thomas Tuchel delivered his injury news this lunchtime.
Club captain Cesar Azpilicueta is expected to be back available for selection, and there is some hope too that Mason Mount might at least make the squad. Reece James is not ready yet, and there are strong doubts over Callum Hudson-Odoi.
“Azpi looks better than Callum. Mason will try to come back to team training and perhaps he will be involved with the squad. Reece is still out.”
