‘He’s got the most quality than them’ – Jamie Carragher reveals why Chelsea player is better than Mount, Havertz and Ziyech
Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic seemed to be at his best in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Lille on Tuesday night.
However, The American was at it, beating players and creating dangerous opportunities and even scored the second goal that sealed the win for Chelsea.
However, in the CBS Sports studio, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry claimed Pulisic can’t reach the heights of Eden Hazard and Mohamed Salah because he can only dribble on transition.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher tended to agree with Henry, and added that Pulisic has more quality than Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech but isn’t consistent enough.
Carragher said: “He’s [Pulisic] got the most quality. I think he’s got more quality than Mason Mount, he’s got more quality than Ziyech, I think he’s got more quality than Havertz, who is a player who likes to get in the box and score goals.
“Technically, and moving with the ball, he’s the best player I’ve seen quality-wise. I just don’t see it enough.
“And a lot of that, to be fair, is to do with his injury record. That is something that has to improve. I think he should be almost a certain starter in that position behind the main striker.”
