Chelsea ‘to offer Loftus-Cheek in swap deal for 68m player’
The Blues have made Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar a top priority this summer, and are apparently willing to offer players in exchange for his services.
Skriniar, 27, is a highly coveted player who has attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain, with Inter willing to sell to boost transfer cash.
With the Blues in severe need of defensive reinforcements, Thomas Tuchel is willing to let more players go in order to bring in the Slovakian.
Chelsea are eager to move Ruben Loftus-Cheek for a financial offer, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter, on the other hand, are said to be looking for funds to reinvest in the team, which has been connected with a Romelu Lukaku transfer.
The club is understood to be looking for roughly £60-68 million for the centre-back, but is ready to dropping his asking price to around £50 million.
Inter wants Lukaku to return to the San Siro this summer, but Chelsea is seeking a £20 million loan fee for the striker.
The Blues will also have to contend with Spurs’ interest in Skriniar, who may be enticed to north London by the chance to play under Antonio Conte, his former manager.
Skriniar, however, might be part of a revamped Chelsea defense, with Jules Kounde also on the club’s radar.
