New twist! As Chelsea have ‘Held Talks’ with agents of 69m Manchester Utd target
According to Krishan Davis and Graeme Bailey of 90min, confirms that Chelsea has “had conversations” with the agents of Ajax winger Antony.
As they consider potential replacements for Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona and Raheem Sterling of Manchester City, the two journalists assert that the Blues did speak with the Brazilian’s agents when they recently traveled to the UK:
Over the past few weeks, Antony has been closely associated with Manchester United, with reports claiming that his old coach Erik ten Hag would be very interested in bringing the player to Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old is not being forced to leave Ajax, though. This summer, they already sold Ryan Gravenberch to Bayern Munich; Sebastien Haller is anticipated to sign with Borussia Dortmund.
Thus, Antony has been given a ridiculously high asking price; according to some reports, teams may have to fork over as much as £69 million to hire the winger.
