Deal close. Chelsea reach another transfer agreement
It has been announced that Chelsea and Nathan Ake have reached a deal for Ake to join Chelsea this summer.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on Twitter: “Chelsea have full agreement with Nathan Aké on personal terms. Man City are aware of the situation on the player side, but still waiting to receive the official bid. #CFC
“City want around £40/45m for Aké and plan is to replace him with a new centre back in case he leaves.”
For Ake, Chelsea and City may agree on a deal around £40 million to £45 million.
The center back, who is 27 years old, moved from Chelsea to Bournemouth in 2017 following a brief loan period before joining Man City two years ago for £40 million.
At the Etihad, the Dutch international’s playing time was constrained.
Ake only participated in 14 Premier League games for Pep Guardiola’s team last year, failing to make the Man City roster.
Raheem Sterling and Ake will reconvene at Stamford Bridge for the upcoming season; Sterling has also reached a personal agreement with Chelsea.
