Ziyech could leave as Tuchel identify £100m winger as his replacement
Hakim Ziyech, a former Ajax star, is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, and Rafael Leao of AC Milan is reportedly Thomas Tuchel’s “preferred choice” to take his place.
However, Ziyech has been widely linked to a move out of Chelsea this summer, with champions of Italy AC Milan showing interest in acquiring the forward.
Raheem Sterling has already been acquired by the Blues from Manchester City, but they are still trying to improve their forward options.
According to reports, AC Milan has no interest in offloading Leao this summer and will only permit the Portuguese international to move on if his €150 million release clause is satisfied.
Leao’s deal with the Italian team expires in the summer of 2024, but AC Milan and the Portuguese star have not yet come to terms on a new deal since Leao wants a salary of €7 million per year.
The 23-year-old forward has played his previous three seasons at AC Milan, where he was a key component of their Scudetto-winning campaign last year.
