Chelsea ‘have hit the jackpot’ with £300,000-a-week signing that can could score 20-goals this season
According to Kevin Campbell, if Raheem Sterling scores 20 league goals for Chelsea in the upcoming season, the team would have “struck the jackpot.”
After it was revealed that Man City was willing to allow the England international leave the club, Sterling was one of the shock players to enter the transfer market this summer.
That made it possible for Chelsea to move forward and offer Man City the £47 million they demanded in addition to paying Sterling the alleged salary of £300,000 per week in order to complete a transfer.
Many people are thrilled that Sterling has joined Chelsea, and when Ewan Kingsbury of Football Insider asked Campbell if Sterling might break the 20-goal mark at Chelsea this season, Campbell responded, “Of course he could.
“Raheem Sterling is an excellent player. There’s a little bit of change going on at Chelsea, and they need to try and share that attacking load more.
“They planned to rely on Lukaku, that didn’t work out and Havertz had to go up front. Timo Werner is another player who hasn’t done it just yet.
“They’re going to try and get 15-20 goals out of Sterling – and if they can get that, then I think Chelsea have hit the jackpot.
“He is capable of scoring that figure, and that’s something they’ve not had for a long while.”
However, There is no doubt about it – Sterling is a world class player that will most improve that Chelsea attack and add goals for Thomas Tuchel – he really is a great signing
Allowing him to depart the club for Chelsea could be a massive mistake from the Champions – as he will score goals – but we all cant wait to see just what he is able to bring to the club
