Goal-machine ‘will be great signing’ for Chelsea in stunning summer switch -Tuchel told
Darren Bent believes that Chelsea will benefit greatly from the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Barcelona.
However, Thomas Tuchel is aware that his team has to acquire another striker, and Chelsea are now interested in acquiring Aubameyang after missing out on deals for Harry Kane, Darwin Nunez, Robert Lewandowski, Erling Haaland, and even Robert Lewandowski.
During his four years with the Gunners, the 33-year-old scored 92 goals in 163 games, but he left the Emirates under a cloud after Mikel Arteta relieved him of his captaincy.
However, since joining Barcelona in the January transfer window, he has appeared to be a completely different player and scored 13 goals for Spain to demonstrate that he is still capable of doing so.
However, Robert Lewandowski’s arrival from Bayern Munich – who will not receive the playing time he desires and is currently expected to leave the Cam Nou – has led to astonishing rumours that Chelsea could make a surprise transfer.
Now – amid all the rumours that the Blues will make a move – Bent has come out and announced that Aubameyang would be a great addition to that Tuchel side – he said on talkSPORT: “[Aubameyang] would be a good addition to the squad.
“One thing we know about Aubameyang is that when he goes to a new football club he hits the ground running. He is someone who knows where the back of the net is.
“His goal scoring records are fantastic.”
