Chelsea ready to offer Hudson-Odoi in swap deal to sign £80m Skilful attacker

According to the Express, Chelsea is preparing a move for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha. The English publication believes that in order to recruit the Ivorian winger, the Blues may decide to trade for Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is now out of favor.

This summer, the Eagles are apparently interested in bringing the Englishman to Selhurst Park, while Zaha may want to go the other way to Stamford Bridge.

However, The Ivory Coast international joined Manchester United on a permanent basis during the 2013 January transfer window, guaranteeing him a spot in the Premier League. Zaha was, however, quickly loaned back to Palace for the rest of the campaign. In 2015, he returned to the Eagles permanently, and he has since established himself as a team legend. In 264 games with Crystal Palace in the Premier League, Zaha has 61 goals and 40 assists.

Meanwhile, According to a report from 90min, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is keeping an eye on Zaha as he searches for both a center-forward and a wide player. Raheem Sterling from Manchester City is the only attacking player that the German manager has acquired this summer. Raphinha, who was able to secure a transfer to Barcelona, was lost to the Blues.

Conor Gallagher, who might be involved in the swap deal, is one of the other Blues players that Palace are apparently interested in in addition to Hudson-Odoi.

According to the aforementioned article, Zaha has indicated a desire to play in the Champions League, according to people close to the player. Since the Ivorian’s contract with Crystal Palace only has one year left, a move to Stamford Bridge is now very likely.
