Champion announces delight after OFFICIALLY signed three-year deal with Chelsea

Millie Bright joined Chelsea, as the club stated, and she is happy with the arrangement.

The defender joined Chelsea from Doncaster Rovers Belles back in 2014 and has had a successful career thus far with the Blues, contributing to the club’s accomplishment of 13 major trophies.

And the Blues were eager to reward her with a new contract after she helped the England Women win a historic European Championship, putting an end to any rumors that she may leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

After reaching an agreement on the terms of the contract, the 28-year-old was eager to share the news with Blues supporters, saying: “Chelsea, the fans, the club, the people.” I appreciate all of your help up to this point.

‘You’re my home and I can’t wait to continue fighting for more trophies. Cheers to the future!’

Commenting on Bright’s extension with the club, general manager Paul Green said: ‘We are absolutely delighted that Millie has signed a new contract.

‘Millie remains our longest serving player and her time with us has been key to our success. The way that she leads on and off the pitch is second to none and we are proud of how far she has come and all her achievements, including her most recent win at the Euro’s which was a very proud moment for the club.
