“His charm has clear off my face”, “please sell him in January” – Chelsea fans finally gives up on Chelsea star after 2-2 draw against Tottenham
After the Blues’ 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on August 13, Chelsea supporters are criticizing Kai Havertz.
The two London teams were unable to separate themselves in a thrilling match at Stamford Bridge after Harry Kane’s 94th-minute equalizer.
In the 19th minute, Chelsea took a deserving lead thanks to Kalidou Koulibaly, with Thomas Tuchel’s team dominating the most of the match.
The Senegalese star scored a goal from a corner with a volley.
However, Pierre-Emile Hojberg responded in the 68th minute with a shot from outside the box, and chaos quickly followed.
Given that Rodrigo Bentancur appeared to have fouled German forward Havertz in the build-up, both Blues manager Tuchel and Havertz felt wronged.
In the 75th minute, the ex-Bayer Leverkusen attacker missed a wonderful opportunity by missing wide.
Reece James did succeed in scoring the second goal for the Blues in the 77th minute, but Kane’s equalizer ensured that the points were split.
Havertz gave a strong effort, pressing hard and being aggressive off the ball, although he was unable to register a goal.
However, The German’s miss that could have sealed all three points hasn’t gone down well with fans and here are some reactions from Twitter:
@LyesBouzidi10: Yeah Havertz every man has their breaking point and I think I’ve just reached mine.
@SMiTHiE___: Havertz, the champion’s league final goal juju wey you use don clear for my eyes oo.
@_AsiwajuLerry: The only person I’ll blame for this match is Kai Havertz. If he had buried that clear goal chance, we won’t be dragging a late draw with Spurs.
@semiade48: Brother has been getting starboy pass since he came to Chelsea
