Potter to bring this highly-rated recruitment guru to Chelsea – report
Finally, It now looks certain that Graham Potter is going to be Chelsea’s new manager, with the Brighton boss right now in talks with the club to secure a move that could be announced as soon as today.
It sounds like the compensation for the Seagulls is agreed, and it’s now down to the details between Potter and Chelsea.
One of the key factors will be his demands over his backroom staff, and according to Nizaar Kinsella of the Evening Standard, there are three key names he’s picked out.
First up is recruitment analyst Kyle Macauley, who has worked with Potter throughout his career. He would work with the guys upstairs on transfers, while the manager works on coaching.
Helping him in that would be Billy Reid and Bjorn Hamberg, his “close friends” who would come in as key figures on the coaching side.
It seems like it might be helpful to have a Portuguese or French speaker in the mix – but maybe one of these guys is fluent and we just don’t know it.
