‘A transfer to Chelsea would be perfect’ — Petit tells Chelsea to sign Serie A man as perfect Ben Chilwell replacement
The Blues are yet to have Ben Chilwell’s replacement as Tuchel is yet to get a perfect replacement for the England man.
However, former Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit has urged his former side to go on and sign AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez.
The former Real Madrid man has blossomed for AC Milan over the past three years and has made over 100 Serie A appearances.
With Chelsea seeking a replacement for the injured Ben Chilwell, Petit has backed the Blues to go for the 24-year-old left-back.
Petit told bookmakers.co.uk: “A transfer to Chelsea would definitely be the right move for Theo Hernandez,”
“He is the captain of AC Milan and he doesn’t speak too much. But he is a young guy and he has got so much energy and personality in the way that he plays.
“He is a perfect fit for the Premier League. He has got the mentality, he’s a leader, a big character and most importantly of all, he’s a good defender.
“If I was a manager, I would be more than happy to get this type of guy into my team.”
