Abramovich pushing to complete huge £100m January deal

According to reports from the Mirror, the Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is keen to bring the Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi to Stamford Bridge, with talks over a deal new in Inter Milan continuing to stall.

The Russian billionaire is taking charge of the Blues rebuilding program and is ready to spend a whopping £100million for the Serie A star.

Maurizio Sarri has never hidden his interest in landing a new striker with Spanish striker Alvaro Morata failing to impress this season.

According to Mirror, Icardi has become Chelsea’s No.1 target despite having Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson in their plans.

The Argentine international is currently in contract talks with the Nerazzurri as they look to extend his present deal at the San Siro.

The Italian giants are offering the 25-year-old new improved terms to wade off suitors as they are desperate to replace his buy-out clause.

Icardi can leave the San Siro outside Italy if his £100million is met, this is according to an extension he signed in 2016.

Inter are scared of losing their top marksman to top European clubs, that is why they have hired Beppe Marotta who has been tasked to get Icardi’s new deal over the line.

The club have reportedly made a €6million per year offer but his wife Wanda Nara who also stands as his agent has proposed an €8million yearly income.
