Abramovich ready to sign 26goals in 35 matches world class striker as Timo Werner replacement after his poor form
Timo Werner has struggled to shine for the Blues since his move from German club RB Leipzig last summer.
On Chelsea’s biggest night of the season, Werner flattered to deceive and the Blues are now keen on signing a proven goalscorer this summer.
According to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Chelsea are willing to offer £86million to tempt Inter Milan into letting Romelu Lukaku return to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Lukaku made only made 15 appearances in all competitions during his four years in Chelsea between 2011 and 2014 before leaving for Everton.
He later left Everton for Manchester United before joining Inter Milan in August 2019.
Lukaku has been in superb goalscoring form this season with 26 goals in 35 matches for Inter, helping them to the top of Serie A by eight points with a game in hand.
However, the report claims the Blues will only submit the offer for Lukaku if a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland fails to materialise.
