After 5 years, Another Chelsea midfielder set to leave club as Blues rebuilding continues

As we all know Tiemoue Bakayoko was acquired by Chelsea from Monaco in 2017 for a whopping £40 million.

Only during his first season at Chelsea did Bakayoko get action on the field.

However, In his first season under Antonio Conte, the Frenchman played in 43 games across all competitions, scoring three goals and taking home the FA Cup.

Bakayoko has gone out on a number of loans and hasn’t featured for Chelsea since the 2017-18 season.

Bakayoko has played for AC Milan in back-to-back seasons before also playing for Monaco, Napoli, and AC Milan again, where he most recently won the Serie A championship.

Finally, Bakayoko is about to make his first permanent departure from Chelsea.

Bakayoko may depart Chelsea permanently, according to the French daily Foot Mercato, which claims that Marseille and the Chelsea midfielder have reached a personal agreement.

Igor Tudor, the manager of Marseille, is hoping to complete this deal but has not yet received final board approval, the report continues.

Valencia is competing for Bakayoko as well.

Bakayoko will eventually depart Chelsea this summer, that much is certain.
