The Blues have been told how much it will cost to sign Jesus Corona from FC Porto during the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old is highly rated in Portugal, having bagged two goals and 17 assists from 41 outings this season, and the Mexican’s agent recently admitted that there has been contact with the club
Now, as well as revealing the negotiations, Matias Bunge also told the Mexican outlet how much we would have to pay in order to sign Corona. “The current [release] clause is €30m (£27m),” Matias Bunge told Medio Tiempo.
“From there we’ll see how things happen. Today Jesus has been a fundamental part of Porto for several seasons and we’re going to see where it ends.
“We have spoken with several teams from England, Spain, some from Germany, but well, normally at this time of year we talk more deeply, and in this market the leagues are either resuming or haven’t been able to conclude.
“All the teams are seeing what happens to their sales or their signings so from there the ball continues to roll in the offices.”
As we said before, do we really need him at the club ahead of next season? or would that £27 million be better off spent improving other areas of the pitch that we are weakest in.
