According to The BBC, It has been eight days for Chelsea supporters since the news first broke that RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner had agreed to join the club.

Everyone involved in the club impatiently awaits that all important announcement so they can finally celebrate this big marquee signing arriving.

Despite most sources agreeing that the deal was all but done and just awaiting formalities, we all know that in this business it is never done until we see one of the clubs announce it officially.

This anticipated announcement should be incoming ‘shortly’, says the reliable Matt Law of The Telegraph. Chelsea are just putting the ‘final touches’ on the deal, and are now in advanced talks to get it completed.

Werner himself HAS agreed to sign for Chelsea, and all parties are confident the transfer will go through shortly with just a few details to be sorted out between the clubs before they can agree when to make an announcement.

Leipzig are not on the German stock exchange, which means they and Chelsea can choose a mutually beneficial time to officially announce Werner’s move. Let’s hope they chose that mutually beneficial time VERY soon!
