All Chelsea fans are shocked after what Noni Madueke did in FA Cup Chelsea defeat to Manchester city

After Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester City, Mauricio Pochettino will not be overly happy with Noni Madueke—but not for his play. The 22-year-old winger gave his team a lot of chances on Saturday afternoon at Wembley Stadium, but the defending champions won out.

In the last moments of the match, Bernardo Silva broke the tie by latching onto a deflected cross from Kevin De Bruyne. Five minutes before Pep Guardiola’s team took the lead, Madueke and Malo Gusto were substituted for Mykhailo Mudryk and Axel Disasi, respectively.

He was seen sharing a joke with Jack Grealish just minutes after the full-time whistle. A clip of the incident quickly gone viral on social media, with large sections of the Blues fanbase taking aim at the England Under-21 international.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Pochettino reflected on a frustrating afternoon. The Chelsea manager said: “Yeah, but in football the most important thing is to be clinical and to not concede.

“We competed well, I cannot say we were the better side because that in football is difficult to measure. The most important thing is we competed. Competing in this way, we need to take positives from the game.

“This type of group of players needs this type of moments in games. Now it’s about to take the positive things and try to build in the things that we need, the areas we need to improve. Now is the time to finish the season in the best way and then to speak about how we can be better next season.”

While Madueke has shown great promise this season, Chelsea supporters have been far from happy with his antics recently. Just last week against Everton, he was caught up in an on-pitch brawl with Nicolas Jackson over a spot-kick.

The duo were spotted arguing with one another about a penalty before Cole Palmer assumed responsibility. Madueke initially picked up the ball to take the spot-kick. The Blues striker, who looked visibly angry, tried to grab the ball from his teammate.

The former PSV Eindhoven ace shrugged off Jackson on numerous occasions before Palmer eventually arrived on the scene and took the ball.
