“Protesting against him now”  “We need to kick him out of the club” – Chelsea fans demand one player to be sold after ‘shocking’ performance in Man City defeat

After Chelsea was defeated by Manchester City in the FA Cup, Chelsea supporters were incensed at Nicolas Jackson.

A few days after Real Madrid eliminated them from the Champions League on penalties, City defeated Chelsea in the FA Cup semifinal to preserve their chances of winning two titles.

Bernardo Silva’s late goal gave Pep Guardiola’s team a 1-0 victory and a spot in the championship game, where they will play either Manchester United or Coventry.

However, Chelsea will rue the several missed chances they had to take the lead throughout the game.

The west Londoners’ primary culprit was Jackson, who has been rash in front of goal all season.

The Senegal international has been so wasteful this term that according to the xGPhilosophy on X, one moment in which Jackson was through on goal, with just Stefan Ortega to beat, miraculously had an XG of 0.00.

And several Chelsea fans on X complained about Jackson’s performance.

One person said: “Nicolas Jackson We need to kick him out of the club.”

A second added: “The best strategy to stop Nicolas Jackson is to simply let him have a shot whenever he wants, because you know with absolute certainty that he won’t be scoring it.”

A third said: “Nicolas Jackson should have had a hat trick but never even looked like scoring in any of the chances.”

A fourth added: “Jackson is a very dull player, should be sold summer.”

A sixth said: “Get Jackson out of my beloved club.”

Jackson signed an eight-year contract with Chelsea last June, and after a promising pre-season has accumulated 10 league goals this term.

While that is a return comparable with Didier Drogba, Gianfranco Zola or Eden Hazard’s first seasons at Chelsea, there have also been a spate of glaring misses and yellow cards.
