“Always at the top of his game, he’s a world-class player” – Aston Villa midfielder hails Chelsea player
Some Chelsea players are out on loan to show the world what they are capable of doing.
However, Aston Villa midfielder and Scotland international John McGinn has hailed Chelsea loaned midfielder Billy Gilmour as a world-class player.
Billy Gilmour is currently on loan at Norwich but has dropped out of the starting XI, failing to play in the last two games for Norwich.
Gilmour was one of Scotland’s best players in their 3-2 win over Israel at Hampden Park on Saturday.
“He’s a world-class player,” McGinn told BBC Sport.
“He’s going through a wee rough patch at Norwich and frustrated not to be playing.
But when he’s in the Scotland jersey, he’s always at the top of his game.”
