Announcement imminent – Boehly to make £60M Frenchman his ‘first Chelsea statement signing’ as deal set to be completed

According to reports, Ted Boehly will make Jules Kounde of Sevilla his first Chelsea signing.

However, according to reports, Roman Abramovich and the UK Government have finally reached an agreement on the sale of Chelsea, which will allow Todd Boehly to take control the club.

According to the PA News Agency, the two parties have reached an agreement on how to handle the £1.5 billion debt owed by Stamford Bridge to its outgoing Russian owner.

Abramovich had previously stated his willingness to forgive the debt, but Downing Street officials were concerned that the 55-year-old would later break his word.

The Premier League is now needed to sign off on any sale of a club, which means Chelsea fans can start planning for some major summer additions, starting with Koundouris.

After it was revealed that both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen desire to leave the club for Real Madrid and Barcelona, Thomas Tuchel is in severe need of defensive reinforcements.

The 23-year-old Kounde has been a long-term priority for the London club, and his signing will be a statement of purpose from new owner Boehly, who has stated that substantial cash will be available.

The French defender, who can play right-back or centre-back, is likely to cost the Blues around £60 million and will be finalised as soon as the club’s takeover is finished.

Well, Antonio Rudiger will undoubtedly be missed by Chelsea, but Kounde is a unique talent.

He is capable of coping in the Premier League, and if Thomas Tuchel places enough faith in him, he may be one of the best in the world.
