According to Football Insider, Chelsea are set to soon announce that rising star Tino Anjorin has agreed a new contract with the club.
The London giants have made a breakthrough in talks with the attacking midfielder, 18, just days after his Premier League debut.
A Chelsea source has told Football Insider that the club will be handing a five-year contract to Anjorin in a major landmark.
His current agreement, signed when he turned 17 in November 2018, is set to expire in the summer of 2021.
Chelsea regard Anjorin as the latest among a crop of dazzling young talents they regard as capable of taking the Premier League and Europe by storm in the coming years.
Billy Gilmour has emerged as an overnight sensation after consecutive man-of-the-match performances against Everton and Liverpool.
Home-grown stars Reece James, Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori have all enjoyed breakthrough seasons, while Callum Hudson-Odoi has also made strides either side of some serious injuries.
Anjorin has also impressed Frank Lampard and his coaching staff with his development this season.
Compared to Ruben Loftus-Cheek for his playing style, the teenager was given the final 19 minutes of Sunday’s 4-0 hammering of Everton at Stamford Bridge.
Anjori has been promoted after stellar form this season for Chelsea Under-23s, for whom he has scored 10 goals and supplied eight assists from 24 appearances.
