‘Another one? as Tuchel confirms another Chelsea player picks up an injury during warmup against Zenit
The injury crisis keeps pilling up at Chelsea and seems not the right time for us.
However, before Zenit clash, Thomas Tuchel confirms Ruben Loftus-Cheek did not play for Chelsea tonight, which was surprising.
It wasn’t too surprising that he didn’t start, as Tuchel had basically said in the pre-match interview that he wasn’t physically ready to be playing 2 games a week at this crazy rate, but the fact he didn’t come raised eyebrows, and on the club’s 5th Stand App the coach later confirmed that it was a problem in the warmup.

Our injury issues in midfield are just so severe right now – the only reason RLC has been overplayed so much is because the rest of our options there are so depleted.
Mateo Kovacic’s recovery from coronavirus is now of vital importance, and we could be fielding another very desperate selection of midfielders this weekend when we take on Leeds.
Things have gone very dark, very fast at Stamford Bridge.
